Who are we?
Transforming lives through education
The Mikoroshoni Foundation’s role is to support the children who attend Mikoroshoni Primary School in Kenya.
Through fundraising, we bring free, good-quality local education to some of the poorest children in Kenya – without our support, these children wouldn’t attend school.
We support the children with our feeding program too, making sure all our children have access to food - no child goes hungry.
Our founding principle remains unchanged, all our work, all our efforts are dedicated to:
To achieve this, every year...
We provide a free, quality primary education for:

At the Mikoroshoni Foundation, we make sure that every pound we raise is used effectively so we can achieve our mission and aims.
Over ninety-eight pence in every one pound raised goes directly to support our mission.
Funds raised help to maintain the buildings, pay our teaching and support teams, buy equipment such as paper, pens, pencils, textbooks, and the other running costs of the school.
Travel to Kenya from the UK by our trustees to oversee the operation of the foundation and school is always and entirely at the expense of inidivudal trustees, no funds are ever paid for travel.

Mikoroshoni Foundation is the working name of The Friends of Mikoroshoni Primary School. The Friends of Mikoroshoni Primary School is a United Kingdom charity registered with The Charity Commission and on their Charities Register, Charity Number 1085334.
